Homemade Creamy Ice Cream

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!!!! Especially when it is delicious, creamy, customizable and simple to make. These recipes were developed by my eldest daughter. They are fantastic and you will want to give them a try. We use our handmade ice cream in many of our ice cream sandwiches, ice cream treats and ice cream cakes.

We make if in dairy and dairy free. You will need an ice cream maker. We use a 1.5 litre electric maker.

Here are the recipes.

Dairy Ice Cream:

2 cups whipping cream

1 cup milk

1/4 cup maple syrup

1 tbsp flavouring of choice

Dairy Free Vegan ice cream:

1 can coconut cream

1 can coconut milk


Add 1/4 cup maple syrup

1 tbsp flavouring of choice

For chocolate we use 1/4 cup

of organic cocoa and an extra 2 tbsp of sweetener.

We don’t like our ice cream overly sweet, so if you prefer more sweetener just add more to taste.

Blend all ingredients together. We find it best to let it set in the fridge a few hours prior to making ice cream (up to a day). Also, ensure your ice cream maker vessel is well frozen as it helps the ice cream set up better.

After it’s finished in the ice cream maker we add in any extras desired
